Yorkshire Dales Open Gold Expedition: A chance for you to experience the beautiful countryside of Yorkshire whilst completing your Gold D of E Expedition. We are back at Stainforth again for the 2010 event which has been arranged for the week 21-27th August 2010 at a cost of £140 for the week. Based at Hornby Laithe, near Settle, this Open Gold is becoming a popular location for Gold participants to undertake their Expedition Assessment. The venue offers excellent facilities, and is easily accessible by public transport. The week is staffed by volunteers from the Yorkshire Dales/Pennines Expedition Network and supported by the Yorkshire & Humber DofE Region. North York Moors Open Gold Expedition: A chance to experience the open countryside and moors of North Yorkshire during this Open Gold week being organised by a team from the North Yorks Moors Expedition Area.
