Kate Thompson, Director - kate.thompson @DofE.org
Role: Kate has overall responsibility for the management and development of the DofE in Northern Ireland through dedicated staff, Northern Ireland Advisory Network and Liaison Committees, Operating Authorities and the wider DofE network.
Kate is a Gold Award holder and says doing her DofE changed her life. She is a keen hillwalker and a canoe/kayak instructor in her spare time.
Colin Henderson, Expedition Co-ordinator- colin.henderson@DofE.org
Role: Colin has primary responsibility for the Expedition Section and Assessor Accreditation. He represents the DofE on the Countryside Access and Activities network. He also organises external projects such as the successful 4 Peaks Challenge in addition to his responsibility for Access Organisations, youth work and sporting skills.
Colin is a Gold Award holder and has a 'Duracell' quality in his boundless energy and enthusiasm.
Rosemary Laird, Executive Officer -

Role: Rosemary exercises overall responsibility for the accounts and invoicing function, Silver Award presentations, DofE magazine requests and literature distribution plus a host of other functions relating to our service to the DofE network in Northern Ireland. She is the Office Manager and PA to the Director.
Rosemary is deeply committed to the DofE in Northern Ireland. In addition to her day job she is a Girls' Brigade Captain, DofE Leader and proud mother of 3 Gold Award holders.
Sylvia Hamilton, Administrative Officer/Gold Award Executive - sylvia.hamilton@DofE.org
Role: Sylvia co-ordinates the Northern Ireland Gold Award administration, services the Northern Ireland Advisory Network, Expedition Assessors Accreditation Scheme, Statistics & CFE Databases and exercises responsiblity for a range of other functions providing a valued service to the Northern Ireland DofE network.
Sylvia is a Gold Award holder and in her professional role seeks to give a totally personal service to all, particularly in making the Gold Presentation one of the most important day's of a participant's life.
Valerie Pitman OBE, DofE Manager - Probation board for Northern Ireland and Honorary DofE Advisor -

Role: Valerie is responsible for DofE Leaders' training, Chair of the UK Skills Advisory Panel, Honorary DofE Advisor for Northern Ireland, DofE Manager - Probation Board for Northern Ireland and the Criminal Justice Sector and member of the UK Advisory Committee and the Northern Ireland Advisory Network.
Valerie has described her DofE involvement as a lifetime passion - much more than a career! She has made a huge contribution to the development of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Northern Ireland and further afield.
