Promoting partnerships
The DofE is well recognised within the community sector for having the ethos to enable every young person of every background to take part in the programme and succeed.  It can be used not only as a valuable tool to publicise a success story, but can also contribute to promoting links to Government agendas and policy initiatives.
Marketing
By increasing overall awareness through the national and regional press of the DofE and highlighting the benefits particularly for young people and adults would raise awareness to potential volunteers and Operating Authorities who could offer the DofE across the UK. By linking national government policy stories on a local level and targeting press, tv, radio, council and community websites is a way of incorporating the DofE and any news updates or events to a range of audiences.
Publicising research
News releases on research would be of interest to a range of stake-holders from primary level teachers to policy makers.  By publicising any relevant research this would highlight the positive value placed on the DofE programme which may provide some encouragement to support the development of a strategy/policy to enable more widespread use of the DofE by a range of Operating Authorities and increase key partnerships.
