Policy work

At The Duke of Edinburgh's Award we are proud that over 275,000 young people do their DofE and that over 50,000 people help them to achieve Awards.  We want to do everything we can to take down the barriers that stop young people reaching their potential – we do this through our policy work.

DofE programmes exist to help young people create positive changes for themselves and for society.  By working with them to identify what things need changing on a national level, from restrictive curfews to demanding access to exciting activities, we support young people to achieve their potential.

As well as gathering information and raising issues with the national decision makers, we publish information on the national and local policy that might affect how DofE programmes are delivered.
