Cookery Residential: The Ultimate Chalet Host Cookery Course is run in a beautiful location in the heart of a pretty ski resort in the French Alps. We will teach you to prepare stylish dinner parties over a one week intensive course which satisfies the Residential section for the DofE. The courses are great fun and you will be surrounded by like minded young people. No experience is necessary, your qualified tutors will ensure you learn in a fun and safe environment. Residential Cookery in the Beautiful Yorkshire Wolds This five day residential course is designed for those completing their DofE residential as well as heading off to university or college or perhaps embarking on a Gap Year. As well as menu planning and cooking on a budget, the students will be taught the art of silver service, napkin folding, safety in the kitchen, store cupboard essentials and use of leftovers. You will leave with a Certificate of Achievement (useful when applying for jobs), Recipe Folder and a two week menu plan. The course also includes an evening talk from Anita Norman, Food Coach and Nutritionist, past students have found this particularly informative and fun. A range of dishes will be taught from healthy breakfast options to entertaining on a budget, cake baking and perfect pastry! The course includes a light lunch and refreshments throughout the day. The Avenue Cookery School in Putney, London specialises in teaching Sixth Form, GAP Year and University students how to cook. Our Really Useful Course ideally suited for Sixth Form Duke of Edinburgh students is a 1 week residential course with 5 intensive days of hands on cooking and really useful out of kitchen skills such as first aid, basic car maintenance and insurance.
