Kilimanjaro Trek and Residential Project (Summer 2013): Trek the highest mountain in Africa for your Gold Residential (the trip is also open as a life time experience for anyone who has finished their DofE Award). This 2 week trip ascends Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route, which is widely considered to be the best route for amazing views and easy acclimatisation. The trip cost is £1850. The vast majority of the cost can be fundraised over the next year and is payable in manageable instalments. The trip price includes all flights, accommodation, guides, porters, permits, expedition food and transport etc. Please note that you need to consult with your DofE leader if you intend to use the trek for your Residential Project. DofE Gold Residential & Expedition - Yunnan, China 2012 Dates: 20 July – 3 August, 8-23 August (FULL), 31 August – 15 September.  Our incredible Residential and Expedition Gold opportunities in China 2012 will appeal to those young people who truly have a spirit of adventure to learn about the world beyond the UK.  We have a fantastic two week programme taking place in the amazing Yunnan Province.  The first week residential has a climate change focus and will provide you with unparalleled access to many of China’s upland environmental projects.   Evenings will be spent learning about Chinese culture, cookery, history and art.  Week two is the chance to complete your assessed expedition of four days and three nights in the foothills of the amazing Cangshun mountains and the valleys around the Chicken Foot Mountain overlooking the shores of the Erhai Lake.  Cost on the ground just £1550.  To find out more go to:

Helping children in India: DofE Approved Activity Provider & UK charity (reg. 1137644) BASTI RAM aims to give poor communities in India the opportunity to learn skills which help them to build their own brighter future. In India we run projects in day nurseries, primary schools, orphanages, with disabled children and with street children. In 2012 we are offering two unique residential experiences to Rajasthan accompanied by our DofE assessor. 3rd - 3th August. Participants will teach English to the children in India that attend our projects, learn Hindi, Indian cookery and henna art, watch cultural shows, visit temples and palaces, undertake stunning treks of the region and/or desert camel expedition. These experiences are designed to challenge participants in mind and body, what they take from this can be life changing. Our residentials are fully supported including a team building weekend in the UK prior to departure and fundraising advice. We take safety very seriously and all our residentials conform to the British Standard in Expedition Leadership (BS8848). Reach for the stars is a fun and enjoyable, once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the NASA Space Centre in FLORIDA and stay at Cocoa Beach.  You’ll meet astronauts, rocket scientists and NASA leaders to gain NASA team building and leadership skills. Adventure Lifesigns: Project India.  Conceived in 2005 with the aim of providing equipment, skills and manpower to the peoples of Southern India this is a fantastic project opportunity for your Residential section. The programme is simple, to take individuals from across the UK state and private schools systems and send them to Tirunelveli in Southern India for three weeks every summer. During the three weeks the individuals will have to function as a team and work alongside local craftsmen with the aim of providing long-term infrastructure to people in need.
