Once you’ve completed your programme, make sure you, your Assessors and your Leader have made comments in your Record Book and all signed it. Your Leader/Co-ordinator will then send it to your Operating Authority (OA) who will check everything is in order.
All being well you will be told that you’ve achieved your Award – congratulations!
You’ll receive your certificate and badge – ask your Leader where this will be. It could be at school, in your group or at a larger local presentation.
The completed form should be sent to your Leader who will sign it and send it to your OA and DofE Regional/ Country office to authorise.
Your OA will send you your badge. Your DofE Office will pass your details to Head Office who will arrange for you to be invited to a
Gold Award presentation (GAP) to get your Gold Award certificate.
If you choose to attend a GAP, you’ll be rubbing shoulder with royalty because you’ll receive your certificate in the presence of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip) or HRH The Earl of Wessex (Prince Edward) at a royal palace. All sounds very grand doesn’t it!
