A6 Awards have been promoting and delivering DofE programmes at Bronze and Silver levels in the East Midlands since 2005. The partners in the business are Judith Wray and Charlie O’Neill, who have both got a long and successful record of DofE work. We are supported by staff with a wealth of expedition experience in the U.K. and abroad.
A6 Awards offer a different approach: not only do we recruit young people to their DofE through schools and provide training for and delivery of expeditions, but we also and guide and mentor them through their whole DofE programme, however long it takes. Fees are fixed at the outset, and include training, Welcome Packs, use of tents, rucksacks,cooking stoves and much more.
Along with ventures on foot,we have developed a specialism in canoeing expeditions for Silver,in partnership with Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre, whose staff train and supervise our canoeists under their AALS licence.
