Expeditions Wales offers a range of Expedition opportunities atall levels of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, from localised expedition training, to Open Gold Expeditions in the Wild Country of the Cambrian Mountains in Mid Wales, the last great wilderness of Wales.
Gold Expeditions
Our Open Gold Expeditions are very popular, with 15 – 20 participants on each course, ensuring a great mix of people, with some of our 2012 courses already close to being fully booked!
Prices for Open Gold Expeditions start from £160.00 so provide great value.
Gold Expedition packages for Schools & Groups are offered in Mid Wales and Snowdonia, with other Wild Country areas available on request.
Silver Expeditions
We offer a range of options for Silver, including Open Silver expeditions based in Wales. Our Silver expeditions are offered across the U.K. from the South Downs, Chilterns, Quantocks, up to the borders of Wales and for a true taste of something different, along the remote coastal areas and stunning valleys of West Wales.
Silver Expeditions start from £100.00 per person.
New for 2012 – Bronze Expedition Packages
Due to demand, we are now offering a range of flexible, tailored Bronze expedition packages for Schools & Groups, with expeditions based within an hour of your location, providing an opportunity for participants to go beyond their normal boundaries, yet not have a massive burden of travel costs.
Already these packages have proved popular and the number of spaces we have available is limited.
Cycling Expeditions
What better way to achieve your Gold or Silver, than to have undertaken the additional challenge of minimising your kit down to manageable levels, coped with punctures, repairs, overshooting junctions and exploring 3 – 4 times the area a walking expedition would. We offer Cycling expeditions throughout the Welsh Wild Country areas, with Silver expeditions offered in out of the way, yet still remote and stunning areas. All the equipment is supplied to ensure that you are receiving equipment that is strong enough to keep up with you!

We pride ourselves on providing an enthusiastic, friendly and young person centred approach. We know full well whose expedition it is and have developed a number of great training tools that leave all the decisions with regard to ownership of their expedition with the young people.
