Harbour Challenge OEC is based on Brownsea Island in the heart of Poole Harbour, Poole, Dorset and provides the training and preparation necessary to complete expeditions in walking, dingy sailing and canoeing or kayaking for all three levels of DofE programme.
Gold Award participants may also complete their Residential section by camping on Brownsea Island or one of our mainland sites for 5 days and 4 nights and complete a course in kayaking or sailing leading to a recognised qualification.
Our programmes follow the DofE training guidelines and provide participants with the skills and confidence to complete expeditions .For groups and schools we can design a programme of training and expeditions especially for you. We include pre-expedition training, practice and qualifying expeditions. We also run Open Expeditions throughout the year. For full details and programme dates please visit our Website at
