Leading Edge Expeditions is a non profit organisation founded to encourage safe adventurous opportunities for young people. By training and challenging our young people we seek to cultivate and promote the personal qualities of service, self sufficiency and leadership. Our leaders are all well qualified volunteers and our programmes are specifically targeted at increasing the scope and depth of challenge to all participants.
Expeditions take place in the UK and overseas. Programme change each year so please see our website for details of latest opportunities www.leadingedge.org.uk Recent activities includes trips to Alaska, Canada, Ecuador, Kenya, Himalayas, Morocco, Nepal, Scotland, South America, the Alps and the three peaks. These opportunities could count for the Residential and Expedition section of your DofE programme. We also offer community work with our Nepal and Kenya expeditions.
Through our association with the Dorset Expeditionary Society we can offer training courses and training grants plus adventure weekends, disadvantaged grants to individuals and schools and a young leaders' mentoring scheme. Please contact us for further information.'
