Venturing Out is a Lothian's based adventurous outdoor activities provider offering high quality, affordable, activity days, skills courses and bespoke programmes. We are fully licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS).
Venturing Out is an Approved Activity Provider for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and offers a variety of services to facilitate the Expedition section of the DofE at all levels.
We work closely with Groups, Schools and Individuals undertaking their DofE Programme, working hard to assist young people in achieving their objectives and developing new skills. Throughout their training and expedition modules participants are encouraged to accept real ownership of their DofE programme and continue this until completion of their Award.
Venturing Out offers a wide range of activities that could match the criteria of the DofE physical module and are able to offer these in a flexible manner. An example may be development of paddling skills, working towards BCU star awards or working through the Go Mountain Bike syllabus.
We offer land and water based expeditions & training modules as follows: Walking, Mountain Biking, Canoeing & Sea Kayaking
Our services include tuition by very experienced and skilled professionals in any particular field, we supply any equipment that you do not have (except bikes, helmets & panniers) & attend group meetings where possible.
