Summers 2009 and 2010 saw over 300 British Gas employees competing against each other in a fun filled expedition themed in the picturesque Peak district.
The event gave British Gas the fantastic opportunity to:
- Enable colleagues from different parts of the organisation to meet, build relationships and forge bonds which they took back to the workplace.
- Motivate staff by tasking their physical ability, teamwork and determination in an exciting environment.
- Allow staff to experience a taste The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award first hand, giving them fresh impetus to fundraise for a worthy cause.
- Raise much needed funds to help us carry on our important work.
Thus far these events have raised over £50,000 for the DofE, for which we are extremely grateful. We are also delighted that the participants enjoyed themselves so much!
