Royal Birkdale Golf Day

Wednesday 11th July 2012

We are delighted to offer our supporters the opportunity to play golf at Royal Birkdale, voted Britain’s No1 course and one of the best courses in the World.

Royal Birkdale regularly hosts the Open Championship and other major international events including the Women’s British Open and two Ryder Cups (1965 and 1969).

Follow in the footsteps of Open Championship winners Arnold Palmer (1961), Tom Watston (1983), Mark Omera (1988) and Padraig Harrington (2008) as you are challenged by a course guaranteed to be in magnificent condition.

Buggies are not allowed at Royal Birkdale but players can replicate an Open Championship experience by hiring top class caddies who know every aspect of the course, especially the wonderful greens that demand the utmost respect.

Our competition is worthy of the course as the winning team will qualify for the Final of the Raymond Griffiths Memorial Competition to be held at Forest Pines, North Lincolnshire on 18th October.

During the day you will have the opportunity to take part in competitions including Beat the Pro, Team Putting, Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive to add to what will be a wonderful days’ golf.

Register in Royal Birkdale’s iconic Art Deco clubhouse from 10.00am and enjoy a light brunch before a 1st and 10th tee start from 12.30pm. A buffet dinner will be served in the clubhouse from 6.00pm, followed by our prize giving, raffle and auction at 8.00pm.
