Volunteering opportunities

We have been given details of the following volunteering opportunities which may be of interest to many of you.

ACTIVENTURE is a unique project with several volunteering roles available to accompany special needs young people on activity weeks. The activities are based at two residential centres either in Wych Cross, East Sussex or Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

They would be pleased to hear from any individuals or groups who would be interested in joining them for an activity week, as helpers to disabled/special needs young people. They offer free training and a choice of twelve weeks throughout the year (mostly during school/college holidays. They will cover the cost of six days accommodation, meals and activities although a voluntary contribution of £25 is suggested.

The experience gained from volunteering with Activenture will support anyone seeking further education and of course employment, as well as completing their DofE Volunteering section.
