On 29 April 2010 the DofE launched the findings of its Impact Research at an event attended by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at the Mansion House, Cardiff.
The event also celebrated the many partnerships that the DofE has across Wales and key note speakers included Professor David Hawker (Director General Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills), and Professor Andrew Pithouse (School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University.

Alun Wyn Jones (Welsh Rugby International) also spoke about his DofE experience and a number of Gold participants from Ysgol Plasmawr circulate amongst the delegates to tell of how the DofE has impacted their lives.
Prior to His Royal Highness leaving he presented Alun Wyn Jones with his Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Certificate.
