Cotswold Outdoor is the Recommended Retailer of
Expedition Kit to The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Cotswold has 33 stores across the UK with more due to open this year. For those who are not close to a Cotswold store, you can shop online (on their award-winning site) or by phone with the dedicated call centre. Cotswold pride themselves on providing truly expert advice on kit by employing staff who are active in the outdoors and who have first hand experience of the products.

Specialist Advice – store staff are available to give bespoke talks to groups on the importance of having the right kit for the environment they are expeditioning in and to provide personal boot fitting services. Speak to your local Store Manager for more details.

Shopping Events – your local store may be able to arrange a private shopping event for your group so you can be sure they receive the full benefit of the staff’s advice. If you are too far away to visit a store in person, they may be able to arrange to come to you and provide an event at your DofE centre. Contact your nearest Store Manager for further details.

Recommended Kit – the DofE has a number of Recommended Kit items that we have tested and suggest for DofE participants (look for the Recommended Kit logo on the product – see the Expedition Kit List for details. You can purchase many of these items easily from the
Cotswold website, and receive your discount!

Kit Lists – in addition to the DofE’s Recommended Kit, Cotswold suggest a number of items they think will serve you well on expeditions. You can see their recommendations in store and on their website.
- Donations – a donation from every purchase made by partnership card holders is given to the DofE Charity. You know that every penny you spend with them, helps us continue our work with more young people.
