Teaching Basic Expedition Skills
This exciting new course is aimed at new Leaders that want some ideas of how to teach basic expedition skills to participants. It will look at how people learn, putting a lesson plan together and most importantly some ideas of how to make expedition skills lots of fun!
The course will be based on the Bronze Expedition Training Framework and will show how to put an effective programme together to cover all the modules. Download more information here

Expedition Supervisors Course
This course will provide a pathway for both existing and new Expedition Supervisors. The course has been designed to provide Expedition Supervisors with an understanding and consistent interpretation of their role and responsibilities within the DofE, ensuring a high quality experience for all young people.
The pre-requisite for this course is the completion of e-induction or Introduction to the DofE course. (E-induction is a free online induction available at www.DofEtraining.org). Please attach a copy of your completion letter or course certificate to your course booking form; your booking form will not be accepted without it.

Teaching expedition first aid to participants
Would you like to learn how to teach first aid to DofE participants? Do you need some new ideas? Then this is the course for you!
Focusing on how to teach first aid to DofE participants, this day long course will give you the confidence to deliver first aid training to participants, using great training methods and resources. All delegates will receive a resource box which will give equipment, ideas and support when delivering training. Pre-requisites are an approved in-date first aid certificate and an approval to deliver first aid training to participants from your OA.

Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme (EAAS) course

The pre-requisite for this course is the completion of e-induction (or Introduction to the DofE course) and also the completion of EAAS pre course learning. (E-induction and EAAS pre course learning are both free and available www.DofEtraining.org).

The DofE’s Train the Trainer programme has been developed to provide potential trainers with an opportunity to explore training delivery methods, style and content and to help ensure high quality training is provided to everyone.
This course is for those people who may already be delivering DofE training on behalf of their OA who have received no formal training, those with a general interest in the subject or those who want to gain some more skills and knowledge in a training environment.

Regional Conference - 'DofE for young people with additional needs'
The topic for this years conference will be 'DofE for young people with additional needs' and will give you the opportunity to ask all your questions regarding DofE programmes for young people with any type of additional need, including young offenders.
We will be addressing some of those tricky issues including mixed ability groups in mainstream schools, setting up the DofE in Special schools and delivering training to young people with special needs. We will also be discussing the flexibility within the Expedition Section.
The venue is in Central Birmingham, just a 10 minute walk from New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill railway stations.
