Granger’s is a technology-based company specialising in cleaning and waterproofing products that protect and restore your outdoor gear. Established in 1937, they became the first company to produce environment-friendly, water-based waterproofing. Their principle of producing ecologically sound, high performance treatments continues to this day.
The proofing technologies replicate the water-repellency applied to boots, garments and equipment when they were new. You’re just re-applying the original treatment, so your gear works better for longer. Original Performance Restored.
Both Granger’s and the DofE have conducted extensive field testing and have earmarked these products as being performance led, easy to use and suitable for the variable conditions encountered by DofE participants and Leaders. Granger’s aftercare products are all manufactured in the UK from their plant in Derbyshire. The majority of their products are water based; in fact they use pure Peak District water as the delivery mechanism for their advanced water based formulations.
In Trail Magazine’s 2006 tests undertaken by Leeds University Performance Clothing Research Group, Granger’s products came out top in performance and durability. That’s because Granger’s proofing technologies replicate the water-repellency applied by fabric manufacturers, so using Granger’s just restores the original treatment. In 2006 Granger’s was also awarded certification under the ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard, independent confirmation that Granger’s products and processes conform to the highest environmental principles.
Granger's is the only UK aftercare company to have both Bluesign and ISO 14001 accreditation, the highest environmental standards.
