
The Roses Charitable Trust (RCT), in association with Hebridean Pursuits Ltd (HPL), has been running challenging outdoor activity programmes for young people in the highlands and islands of Scotland for 21 years.
We are an Approved Activity Provider for the Residential and Expedition sections of the DofE and hold a full AALA licence for all activities. The RCT has vast experience of leading and training groups. Our staff hold the highest levels of qualifications and have experience of world wide expeditions thus adding value to the participant's knowledge and experiences.

We can offer walking, sea kayak or open boat based expeditions. We offer the following to established groups and we also welcome individuals:
- Bronze, Silver and Gold training and assessment
- Residential, Multi Adventure Activity experiences at based in the Highlands of Scotland & Tavool House on the Island of Mull
- Gold Expedition training based in the Highlands of Scotland & at Tavool House Outdoor Centre on Mull (8th-12th October)
- Gold Expedition assessments both land and water based in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
- Gold Expeditions overseas in countries and areas such as Morocco 'Atlas', Norway 'Jotunheimen', Spain 'Picos de Europa', French & Austrian Alps and Sea Kayaking in Greece
- Accredited Assessors for all levels of the DofE

The Isle of Mull Outdoor Adventure Activity Residential.
Group size Min 6 Max 10. Based at Tavool House Outdoor Centre on the Isle of Mull. The Isle of Mull, is situated off the West Coast of Scotland in the Inner Hebrides. You will travel from Oban via ferry and be picked up on the island. Tavool House, is an ideal venue for a really exciting and challenging activity based residential week. It is a beautifully located centre sitting on the shores of a sea loch, Loch Scridain. The Residential will offer you the chance to develop new skills and have exciting experiences through outdoor activities and of course meet new friends during your 5 days on Mull. It will also enable you to achieve the benefits and principles of The DofE Residential. If you are keen to learn or progress with real adventure activities such as climbing, kayaking, open boating, abseiling, canyoning, coasteering and walking or mountaineering then our hugely experienced and highly qualified instructors will be able to coach and encourage you to gain new skills and confidence. It’s a great way to gain additional skills for your assessments too!
- The adventure programme will be based alongside your and other members aims and ambitions.
- You will take part in local conservation and the day to day life at the centre.
- You will self cater, but we provide the food (we will discuss your dietary needs).
- We provide all specialist technical equipment.
- Ideal for those also keen on photography, art, history and wildlife spotting.
- You will learn the skills of adventure activities but also about local flora, fauna and marine life.

Cost £280 per person. Includes: food, accommodation, instructors and transport on Island. Does not include ferry ticket (you can buy on the day of travel).
