Unique DofE Gold Expedition and Residenital trips to China
These trips take part in one of the most awesome provinces in the whole of China, high above sea level, surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery and immersed in one of the world's top three most bio-diverse regions.
Rough Edge aims to provide awesome adventure opportunities for people in unexpected and exciting places. We aim to allow people to become part of a Rough Edge community to share with other like minded people, new ideas, great adventures, tips or just friendship through shared experience.
Undertaking DofE Gold residential and expedition in China will appeal to those young people who truly have a spirit of adventure to learn about the world beyond the UK. They will be motivated by knowledge of the environment and be active ambassadors for climate change.
Ideally they will register with the British Council's International Climate Champion scheme, which will also enhance their credentials on their resumé or CV.
They will be self sufficient individuals in either groups or as open candidates, who will be as excited about the research, learning and planning they can do before they go to China as they will be by the trip itself.
Rough Edge with its expert partners will ensure a full and busy schedule from beginning to end. The opportunities for learning beyond the climate change focus of the residential are extensive: cultural, linguistic, botanical, culinary, navigational, historical, artistic.
