Ready for a true winter adventure? This Gold DofE Residential takes you into the heart of the Cairngorms to learn the essential skills for safe and rewarding mountain days in snow and ice.

Across five packed days, you’ll be part of a small team, guided by highly qualified RAW instructors. Together you’ll master the use of winter boots, crampons, and ice axe, practice navigation in snow-covered terrain, and learn how to assess avalanche risk and changing weather. Evening sessions add extra insight and plenty of time to share stories and relax with new friends.

You’ll stay in shared forest lodge accommodation surrounded by pine trees and stunning mountains, with food and transport during the week all included.
