|Our vision in Group Operations is to be recognised as a world-class operations function. We have a group wide span incorporating, Operations, IT, Global Payments, Customer Services, Sourcing, Property Services, Security and Fraud.
As the backbone of the Group, our Operations Centres answer 2 million calls from customers each month, process 1 in 5 new mortgages in the UK and make £125 billion of payments for customers every day. Group Operations provide and support the technology that both we and our customers rely on every day. We look after all the branches and buildings where we work, control the Group’s annual spend of £5 billion with suppliers and are instrumental in delivering all the significant major change programmes that enhance the way we work and improve the experience for our customers.
We serve over 30 million customers every year, handling every aspect of our customers needs. Put simply, it is Group Operations that ‘keeps the show on the road’.

Our Commercial Banking division provides banking and risk management services to over 1.25 million SME businesses. We also have relationships with 91% of FTSE 100 and 83% of FTSE 250. Supporting over 100,000 new business start-ups each year, and with a range of products designed to match an impressive client list, it has an essential role to play in helping Britain prosper. It is also a market leader, ranked number one for service quality and awarded FD’s Business Bank of the Year for an unprecedented nine years. This is a highly successful and fast-growing area of Lloyds Banking Group.
