Expedition Assessors and Supervisors Training Courses - CERO courses

The course aims to equip Expedition Assessors and Supervisors with the practical knowledge and understanding of the principles and conditions of the Expedition section to ensure participants enjoy a safe and high-quality expedition.

Pre-requisite e-learning

The prerequisite for this course is the completion of two online free learning modules available on our Training Centre.

– e-Induction

– Introduction to the Expedition Section and Roles (available from 15/02/2021)

Entry Requirements

Delegates must be at least 18 years old before applying to attend the EASTC.

The EASTC does not train potential Assessors or Supervisors in the technical expedition skills required for these roles, or on how to organise an expedition or train expedition groups. Delegates will need to check if their outdoor experience matches the requirements of their Licensed Organisation or Approved Activity Provider as authorisation for the Assessor and Supervisor role is based on LO/AAP endorsement.

As part of the course delegates will be asked to undertake a map-based supervision planning task which will require basic map reading skills.
