Suitable for, and recognised by most of the National Governing Bodies, such as Mountain Training, Sports Leaders UK, British Canoeing, Cycling UK, etc., for their qualifications, i.e. Hill & Moorland Leader Award; Mountain Leader Award; Level 3 Qualification in Lowland Expedition Leadership (formally BELA), etc. On successful completion candidates will be awarded a certificate which lasts for 3 years, including QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF). This first aid course is appropriate for those working at all levels of DofE expedition supervision, and other outdoor activities that take place in rural or more remote environments. The Interactive, hands-on training, delivered by a recognised HSE provider, places a lot more emphasis on incident management, monitoring casualties, and relaying information to Ambulance Crews and Mountain/Lowland Search & Rescue Teams and plenty of practical scenarios are provided, with feedback and analysis given upon completion.
Cost: £90.00 plus VAT (without camping accommodation) or the course fee plus an additional £6.00 for camping on the Saturday night (if required – supply own tent).
