Join us for a Rock Climbing Residential in 2023, suitable for both beginners and those with some experience!
Focus: This five-day Rock Climbing residential is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced climbers. Develop your movement and ropework skills and experience climbing on some of the world famous gritstone edges of the Peak District.
Duration: 5 Days, no previous experience required, all equipment provided
We will be based in the heart of the Peak District and from here we’ll travel to different climbing spots. You’ll take part in bouldering, sport climbing on limestone, and trad climbing, and have the opportunity to climb some amazing routes and boulder problems, at whatever level suits you. You’ll learn/develop essential ropework skills, movement skills, and be introduced to/extend your knowledge of trad climbing gear.
Residentials for all
All residentials run by Adventure Expeditions are designed to bring individuals together to have a great time – our aim is for you to leave with new friends, great memories and new skills.
We understand that joining as an individual may be daunting but you are guaranteed a warm welcome by our team. Previous residential groups have made friends for life and met up independently afterwards for adventures together.
Our residentials are open to any young person aged 16 to 25. If you are undertaking the Gold DofE Award, your residential will fulfil all the criteria for the Gold Residential section but completing DofE is not a requirement to join us.
Food
Food is included for you throughout the programme. We’ll take turns cooking in small teams each evening. Your instructors will be on hand with recipe cards, so don’t worry if you’ve never cooked before. We’ll provide ingredients for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and plenty of snacks. All dietary needs and preferences can be catered for – please ensure that you let us know in advance and we’ll make sure we’re well stocked.
