Gold ‘Back-to-Back’ DofE Expedition 22/10/23 – 28/10/23
Day 1: You’ll cover all aspects of the Gold expedition training syllabus, including route planning, camp craft and emergency procedures, ready for your Practice & Qualifying expeditions.
Days 2-3 (Practice Expedition): You’ll set off along your planned routes, meeting your instructor at agreed checkpoints along the way, with lots of opportunity to continue your training.
Days 4-7 (Qualifying Expedition): You’ll set off along your planned routes, journeying independently and demonstrating self-sufficiency, meeting your instructor at agreed checkpoints along the way. On the final day, you will give your aim presentation to your Assessor. Upon successful completion of all aspects of the programme, you’ll receive your Expedition Report, which means your Expedition section can be signed off by your DofE Leader.
The cost includes all instructor supervision, accommodation fees, use of high quality group kit (tents, trangia stoves etc) and DofE accredited assessors for the qualifying component of the course.
Comprehensive joining instructions are provided upon booking via your online account. You will need to arrange transport to and from the expedition, as well as your personal equipment (kit list provided) and food for the duration of the expedition.
