Animal Rescue in India – Gold Residential with Pod Volunteer

Join Pod Volunteer to help care for injured dogs, cows and animals in the colourful city of Udaipur!

How can I help?
You will join a local team at a treatment centre and sanctuary for terminally ill animals. It is a home to over 200 animals including dogs, cows, donkeys, pigs, cats, tortoises, goats, birds, a buffalo and any other animal in need.

Although each day will differ, your usual roles will include preparing and distributing food and water, cleaning enclosures, assisting with physical and hydro-therapy for disabled animals, monitoring for injuries or infection and generally spending time comforting the animals around the centre.

When can I join?
Any Sunday throughout the year for 1-12 weeks.

Where will I be living?
You will live in a guesthouse, with simple and clean accommodation. You will be sharing a room with 1 – 3 other volunteers. The project is based on the outskirts of Udaipur, a vibrant city that attracts visitors with its colourful temples and palaces. You can enjoy yoga, cook local dishes, learn Rajasthan dances or practise henna at the volunteer accommodation or, at the weekends, arrange trips to the Taj Mahal, the Monsoon Palace or Jain Temple!

Placement fee
Volunteer placements start from £595 for 1 week. This includes accommodation, all main meals, airport pick up and transfer to the project, Hindi language lessons + planning your trip support from the Pod team.
