20 – 22 March 2020 (River Thames)
08 – 10 May 2020 (River Medway)
Duration: 3 days – 1 day training & 2 days assessed expedition (inline with the new Bronze framework)
Description: The Bronze expedition requirements have changed and are now even more accessible than ever.
Why not choose a different way for your expedition ‘journey’? Take the load off your feet and enjoy the countryside that the UK has to offer from a different view.
You don’t have to have any previous canoeing knowledge, as this will all be taught to you during our progressive training, giving you the knowledge of how to control your boat and be safe on the water.
You will normally paddle a canoe in a team of two. The training phase will help you meet and get to know your paddling partner if you haven’t met them before and allow you time to plan your expedition prior to undertaking the assessed expedition on the final 2 days of your course.
Core expedition skills will be taught and revisited and given a tweak to help you in the water environment. All canoeing equipment, a dry barrel for your expedition kit and campsite fees are included in the price.
