The Commonwealth War Graves Commission have produced the Living memory resource pack containing a range of creative activities to do in a cemetery such as photography, headstone rubbings, laying flowers, playing the last Post, public speaking and much more.
There are also ideas on how to share discoveries about the lives of those buried in your local cemetery with the wider community through working with sports clubs, holding public events, creating exhibitions and much more.
This is a fitting way to mark the First World War Centenary and learn about your community and its role in the First World War. Those who take part and complete the activities will be awarded a Commonwealth War Graves Champion certificate.
