Are you BSL qualified and looking for volunteering experience? We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are fluent in BSL to join us and translate a range of videos for our resourcing team in order to support accessibility of our recruitment processes to people experiencing hearing loss.
Dimensions provide support for around 3,500 people with learning disabilities and autism across the UK. We support people to live as independently as possible and our volunteers play a vital role in our work. One of our organisational aims is to recruit more people with disabilities.
About the role
The Dimensions Resourcing Team are putting together a range of videos to support candidates through the recruitment process. Activities will include:
Using British Sign Language to translate the content of a range of recruitment videos
Being filmed and appearing in the videos for our website and intranet pages
Travelling to Dimensions offices within your region
Working with the resourcing team to understand the content and materials used
We are looking for someone who is:
BSL level 2 qualified
Confident to be filmed and appear on Dimensions media pages
Keen to learn new skills
Reliable and Dependable
Friendly and Enthusiastic
Passionate about helping people and improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism
