Do you enjoy swimming? Could you help somebody we support get the most out of their swimming sessions?
We are looking for a Swimming Budding in Cardiff to help a person we support get the most out of their sessions and have fun. The swimming sessions are weekly and you will be accompanied by an experienced member of staff. The person we support uses a private pool so it is a really nice relaxing atmosphere.
What you will do:
We are looking for buddy’s who can commit to 3 hours each week and who will be confident in the water. This is the perfect opportunity to give some of your time doing something you enjoy. No specific experience is required and all necessary training will be given. A small amount of manual handling will be required to help the other member of staff but full training will be given.
We would ask the volunteer to commit to attending their role on a regular basis. Stability and routine are vital in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism.
A DBS check will be required for this role. Two character references will also be required.

This volunteering activity is only available for participants over the age of 18.
