We are looking for volunteer gardeners who would be happy to help the people we support get the most out of their gardens. Whether it be planting flowers, mowing the lawns, helping to prune trees and bushes or even helping the people we support to grow their own fruits and vegetables. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy being outdoors and are happy to engage with the people we support do develop a range of gardening skills and a love for gardening.
What you will do:
•Develop and maintain gardens in our services.
•In some cases work alongside the people we support to enable them to undertake horticultural activities such as potting, growing and garden maintenance.
We’re looking for someone who is:
•Enjoys working in the garden
•Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and autism
•Willing to commit to volunteer on a regular basis
Please note that we will need to obtain 2 character references for you before you can begin volunteering.
A DBS check will be required for this role
