Silver Open Expedition : Saturday 4th April to Monday 6th April 2020
We offer an open silver package which allows you to complete either your Practice or Quailfying Expedition for the silver award. This is ideal if you don’t have a group to do your expedition with or can’t make your schools dates. We offer training based in Basildon, Essex, followed by a 3 day expedition.
Practice expedition:- This is for young people that havent carried out a silver expedition before. You will carry out some training in Basildon on Tuesday 17th March and Tuesday 31st March- 7pm till 9pm which is compulsory.
Qualifying Expedition:- This is deisgned for young people that have already completed a Silver expedition and the training framework. You must attend Tuesday 31st March- 7pm till 9pm for Route planning and equipment collection which is compulsory.

Camping fees for the practice expedition or qualifying expedition.
Free use of group equipment. Tents, Trangia stoves, maps, compass and fuel.
Comprehensive training covering all aspects of the DofE syllabus.
Supervision throughout the expedition.

Transport can be purchased separate to the cost at £35 per expedition if needed.

After booking on and paying for your expedition you MUST send us a consent form 6 weeks before the event. We can not take young people without a consent form. Please email it over to [email protected]. Failure to attend the Training/ Route planning session will result in you not being able to attend the expedition.
