The Elite Journey Public Speaking Course is aimed to improve students’ oracy, critical thinking, and academic communication skills, enhancing their personal impact and competitiveness. Students will learn essentials of public speaking in the first part of this course, covering how to craft an idea, effective body language and vocal techniques, how to tell your personal story and overcome fear. In the second part of this course, students will further develop and apply these skills in common speech types: pitching, storytelling, persuasive speech, academic speech, impromptu speech. This course features in its ample hands-on practice and personalized feedback from the coaches to ensure effective improvement.
All students of the Elite Journey public speaking course are automatically enrolled as permanent members of the Elite Journey Toastmasters Club after the course. Students can voluntarily attend weekly online meetups to regularly practice public speaking with their peers. The club will also hold external speaker events and off-line meetups to further advance their public speaking knowledge, skills, and networks.
