The Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme (EAAS) training provides a route to accreditation for those who wish to assess DofE/JAI expeditions. Expedition Assessors check that expeditions meet the DofE’s required 20 conditions.
The e-induction and EAAS pre-course e-learning modules must be completed in advance of the course, as well as the Gold Assessor e-learning (for Assessors at Gold level, or those assessing in wild country). Access the e-learning here.
The EAAS training course covers the role and responsibilities of the Expedition Assessor and is normally delivered as a one day course.
You will require to be approved by your Licensed Organisation/Area Network/Approved Activity Provider within two years of attending the training course. Successfully completing the EAAS training and approval by the LO/AN/AAP leads to delegates being accredited as an Expedition Assessor and able to assess expeditions.
