Gold Bell Boating (Large canoe) Expeditions

Here’s your opportunity to do a completely different style of expedition. The Bell Boat is a 30ft long catamaran style canoe, designed for upto 12 people but carrying upto 8 with kit on expedition. It’s an extremely safe craft to use on the expedition as it’s virtually impossible to capsize.

We’ll have a training day in Weybridge on Saturday 9th October where you’ll meet the rest of the team and learn how to safely use the boat.

The practice expedition is Sunday 24th to Tuesday 26th October along the Kennet and Avon Canal in Wiltshire, starting in Pewsey and finishing in Thatcham.

The qualifier is Monday 4th to Thursday 7th July 2022. We start in Runnymede on the River Thames and over four days travel 64 miles up stream to Abingdon.

This is a great expedition for those of you doing exams this year as the practice and qualifier miss the busy revision times of Easter Holidays and May half term. It’s a great expedition for meeting new people as you’re all on the same boat and help each other through it all. But it’s also tough – most days are long, upto 12 hours! So it’s not an easy option for the Gold expedition.
