Gold Residential WACKY Young Volunteer – Kirklees DofE

Kirklees DofE are offering three gold residential opportunities at our outdoor centre Little Deer Wood. WACKY offers young people with disabilities aged 13 – 25, the opportunity to take part in a wide and varied programme of activities during Summer Holidays. There will be a choice of around eight activities each day where young people can choose from arts/crafts, adventurous activities, sporting or recreational projects or even a visit to a place of interest.  Whatever the choice of activity, we have found that some degree of support is often required. As a volunteer you will be expected to assist with aspects of the day to day running of activities under the supervision of experienced staff. All our instructors have undergone enhanced CRB checks and hold current First Aid certificates. We are licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service which is part of the Health & Safety Executive.
