This is a 5 day combined training and practice expedition event for gold participants.

We’ll spend 2 days at a scout campsite near Baildon, just south of Ilkley Moor, in West Yorkshire. In this time we’ll take you through the training syllabus of the expedition section.

On Day 3 you’ll head out on a remotely supervised 3 day practice expedition which will end in Skipton (North Yorkshire).

We provide stoves, fuel, maps, compasses, first aid kit and tents. Items of personal kit (waterproofs, sleeping bags, rucksacks etc) are available on request. We offer support for with your route planning and other preparations in advance of the expedition.

Food is provided during the 2 day training part of this event and during the training we’ll take a trip to a shop for you to buy food for the 3 day expedition.

At the time of writing we have 9 students booked on this event so have room for 5 more before we have to think about if we can extend it to a third group
