Hampshire County Council – Ecology & Conservation Residential – August 2024

Brand new for 2024, Hampshire Outdoors is excited to be working in partnership with the Knepp Wildland Foundation to offer a residential experience set in the heart of the Knepp Estate, home to the pioneering rewilding project. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone with an interest in ecology, conservation and rewilding.

The Knepp Estate is very much at the forefront of the rewilding movement, a 3,500-acre site that has been returned to nature through the actions of free roaming herbivores and the restoration of natural processes. Knepp is now a biodiversity hotspot, home to many rare species such as turtle doves, nightingales and purple emperor butterflies.

Working with staff from the Knepp Wildland Foundation you will learn about Knepp’s amazing ecology and biodiversity, and the principles of rewilding that has shaped this landscape. To find out more about the Knepp Estate, watch a short video from The Natural History Museum.
