The Youth Champion Programme empowers people aged 14-24 to take action for Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) through organising their own activities or events to raise awareness of HMD in their community and amongst their peers.
Youth Champions will be set challenges throughout the year and will be invited to our annual Youth Champion Day to meet survivors of the Holocaust and subsequent genocides, attend skills workshops and meet like-minded people.
Please make sure you speak to your DofE leader before starting your volunteering section with HMD.
It looks great on a CV and there are many opportunities to get involved further. For example, last year Youth Champions were invited to attend the opening of our parliamentary exhibition and they played a large part in the UK Ceremony which was filmed by the BBC.
