This Gold Qualifying expedition takes place on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of Scotland. Skye is a spectacular island, one of the most scenic places in Britain and a location for many movies over the years. Three gold expedition participants have already booked on and have sketched out a route. The route begins at Broadford and goes south and then west to Loch Slapin, then on day two to Camasunary Beach. Day three is an exploration day and on the last day you journey into the heart of the Cuillin mountains to Loch Coruisk, an amazing place: rugged and beautiful with mountains rising steeply from the loch. From Loch Coruisk, at the end of the expedition, you’ll get a boat – the Bella Jane – to the village of Elgol and then a bus back to Broadford. You’ll need to travel to Broadford on 31 May, the day before the expedition starts. Detailed information on getting to and from Broadford by public transport will be provided to participants. Included in the cost is the ferry from Loch Coruisk and bus from Elgol to Broadord. Also included in the price is hire of equipment (we provide tents, stoves, gas canisters, map cases and rucksack covers and liners). on The cost of the expedition is £220.
