Kissing it Better is a healthcare charity and training provider offering inspirational volunteering opportunities in the Midlands, and training courses across the country.
The charity aims to end the isolation of old age by bringing the generations together. Its imaginative healthcare projects make an immediate and lasting difference to the lives of frail older people
Now KiB has launched a range of teaching courses, accredited by SFJ Awards, part of the Workforce Development Trust. The learning is based on KiB’s ethos of ‘creative thoughtfulness in the care of others’, and designed to show how simple ideas make a profound difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people in society, particularly older people. We have day courses to suit people starting the volunteering section of their DofE. More details at: www.kissingitbetter.co.uk
“The work we do brings the generations together and fosters a deep sense of respect between young and old,” says Jill Fraser, CEO of KiB. “We work with thousands of students every year. Many are inspired to seek a career in healthcare, particularly nursing; but all our young people feel uplifted and energised by working with us.”
