Leiths School of Food and Wine – Leiths Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze and Silver Skills for Young Chefs

The Leiths Online 13-week Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze and Silver Skills course for Young Chefs aged 13-18 is the perfect way to improve your cooking abilities and develop essential skills for life.

You’ll cook alongside Leiths’ expert teachers as you take on a new recipe each week in your own kitchen and in your own time, building your confidence and ability as you go. Each session will take no more than one and a half hours to complete, including washing up, and you will create great dishes for you, your family and your friends to enjoy.

You’ll cover the kitchen basics; we’ll talk you through health and safety, food hygiene, and the best way of using your knives. This initial theory will ensure you are an organised, efficient, and a safe cook ready to tackle a whole range of recipes.

Helping you to improve will be your dedicated Leiths mentor who will assess your progress, provide feedback on your food and guide you every step of the way. They will also complete your on-line DofE assessor’s report at the end of the course.

Designed to fit around your school commitments, you can cook anytime during the week. If you need to take a week off for a holiday or exams, not to worry, the app allows you to be flexible and plan around your other activities.
