Live Life Adventure’s amazing Open Gold Expeditions on the Great Glen Canoe Trail are back for 2025. Starting on the coast in Fort William and paddling the sea in Inverness this epic 60-mile (95 km) journey crosses Scotland in four days while conquering the formidable open waters of Loch Lochy and Loch Ness—a challenge in itself.
Our back-to-back trip offers; training on Loch Eli, practice on Loch Shiel and the coast to coast qualifying expedition.

All equipment is provided, allowing you to travel by train; we will even collect you from the station. If you are an individual seeking a thrilling expedition, we can assist you, and of course, we also accept small or large group bookings.
We plan a preparation day, which means you can stock up on supplies, sort your kit, rest and be ready for your 4-day qualifying expedition.
All training and expeditions are supervised by experienced and local instructors qualified for the waters you will be paddling on, and we use active trackers so our shore team knows where each expedition group is at any time.
