With 40 years’ professional cooking experience under her belt (chef for Prue Leith, recipe writer for Delia Smith, restaurateur and caterer to rock stars and royalty), Lorna’s an expert in teaching teens to cook and developing recipes which really work.
If you already know some of the cooking basics, the Intermediate Course builds on the Introductory Course and covers more of the essentials, including speedy lunches, one-pot wonders and some brilliant bakes too. You’ll learn how to cook a steak and roast a chicken to perfection, and the secrets to a sensational stir-fry and an authentic curry, along with some delectable desserts and puddings.
Additionally, the topics of safety, food hygiene, using seasonal and sustainable ingredients, energy-efficient cooking and reducing food wastage and one’s carbon-footprint in the kitchen are all covered too.
All the recipes are for 4 people.
It’s all done via WhatsApp with one-to-one feedback, so you can cook in the comfort and familiarity of your own kitchen, learning an essential life skill in 13 short weeks.
Her courses are accessible to every young person, wherever they are in the world, and for Off-to-Uni and SEN students too.
