Each year the Morning Star Trust offers 10 day sailing adventures to do more challenging voyages to places further away. They qualify you for DofE Gold Residential. We aim to have two yachts sailing in company which is great fun.

They make great part of your Summer Holiday programme giving opportunity to let term time worries slip away whilst doing something completely different. We live, sleep and eat on board. Two voyages are planning to visit the Channel Islands, one to Northern Brittany and one to the Isles of Scilly subject to weather and tide. These all involve long mile builder passages for those who have their RYA Competent Crew and want to develop experience and progress to RYA Day Skipper or RYA Yachtmaster. It is the adventure of a lifetime and it is likely that you will see dolphins, seals and other marine life whilst visiting some truly beautiful places.

Nobody who goes to sea comes back the same. We gain experience by having experiences and this is something you can refer to on University and Job applications demonstrating that you have a can do attitude, can work in a team, take initiative and learn new skills.
