National Trust – Outdoor Ranger Conservation Residential – Brownsea Island

A well-established residential provider in the heart of Poole Harbour – the magic and adventure of Brownsea Island awaits!

National Trust’s Outdoor Centre on Brownsea has welcomed Gold DofE participants for over 6 years and offers a mixture of adventure activities, conservation and team work and outdoor learning opportunities all led by experienced and enthusiastic staff members.

Our opportunities provide a unique experience for those wishing to fulfil their DofE Gold residential requirements and enhance their employability in the sector by gaining some practical conservation experience with National Trust.

Participants will assist the Outdoor Centre and Countryside teams with a wide range of tasks on the island from clearance of invasive species, conservation tasks, use of hand tools (full training given), outdoor adventure activities, activity development and wildlife surveys.

Dates available: 7th-11th July; 14th-19th July; 20-24th August; 21st-25th September

All residentials are £150.00* and include 5 days and 4 nights on Brownsea Island, inclusive of camping fees, cooking equipment hire, entrance fee to the island and return ferry crossing to either Sandbanks or Poole Quay.
