Outdoor volunteering with the Environment Trust is a fun way of learning about local places and connecting with nature.
We have provided a range of inspiring volunteering opportunities for Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh participants for the last five years.
We typically run a four hour session on one or more Saturdays each month; it is not practical to run 1 hour weekly conservation sessions. Volunteers help to conserve green spaces including woodland, meadows, streams and rivers and to improve wildlife habitats in parks and gardens.
You need enthusiasm for the natural world but no specific knowledge or experience. Full training is given and activities are adaptable to volunteers’ personal skills and abilities from age 14 years upwards. We work in Richmond, Hounslow and Kingston.
Before starting this volunteering activity you must seek approval from your DofE leader first.
Due to high demand we unfortunately cannot make an immediate offer of a placement to new applicants. From 16th June 2017 we can accept new applicants onto a waiting list if you return a completed form. As places become available we will contact you.
