Odyssians provides a chance to work with young adults with disabilities in a picturesque campsite located in Surrey. As part of a small team, you’ll support their individual needs while engaging in a variety of enjoyable camping activities and exciting offsite excursions.
Former DofE participants have referred to Odyssians as a “family community” and a “life-changing experience.” While the week presents its challenges and the days can be intense, you’re guaranteed to leave with new skills, lasting friendships, and a genuine sense of making a positive impact on others’ lives.
No prior experience working with adults with learning disabilities is necessary. Comprehensive training will be provided at the beginning of the week, and you will be paired with an experienced volunteer for the duration of the week. Additionally, a DofE mentor will be provided.
We are eager to answer any questions you may have and look forward to welcoming you to an amazing week.
